This is one of our favorite chews, especially for dogs who tend to like sticks or puppies who are chewing up your wood baseboards/furniture/house. It lasts a long time and has been a hit among lots of our dogs. It’s called: Gorilla Wood

12/30 - First United Methodist Church of Waynesville is holding a Missions Market. Sarge’s Animal Rescue will be at this event! Come out and support great projects of all kinds but don’t forget to stop by the Sarge’s booth and pick up an awesome gift for your dog loving friends who are hard to buy for. (Not an event to bring your dog to)

12/16 — Sarge’s Animal Rescue will be holding an Adoption Event at Frog Level.

We are closing in quickly on 2024. This means that we are looking back at 2023 to reflect on all that the year brought us and be thankful for the people we meet, the lessons we learned, the things we accomplished and the knowledge we’ve gained. We are all a work in progress, constantly striving to improve. I heard something recently that said this about dog training: there really is no need to worry about “being behind” in training. We get clients who tell us they are “behind” on puppy training, for example. While yes, they might have missed the cut-off age for puppy class, this doesn’t mean that they are behind. It just means that where they are is where we start, and our progress moves as it should. We will all have weeks where we feel on top of our game and ready to tackle new challenges, while other weeks we’re holding on and just getting through. This is all part of the journey. In dog training progress rarely looks like a straight line. Embrace the journey. Embrace where you are and while we make plans for 2024, remember that plans may not go exactly how we want them to, but we will learn from each step of the journey, and keeping working on those goals at the pace that we can. There is no behind, there is just now.
